supporting GLI (Cornell) in producing the report of the Task Force, an internationalist, sustainable and needs-driven development framework from a North-South labor perspective. See more details.
Organising in the Global Workplace:
development and delivery of advanced sector-specific residential courses for senior trade union representatives of unions in the UK, including Unite, and the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT), working closely with the relevant Global Union Federations. This programme is undertaken in partnership with Northern College.
Women in Vulnerable Livelihoods:
research and programme design for international activity by Oxfam GB to support working women in vulnerable and precarious livelihoods.
Organising in the Informal Economy:
research on livelihoods and organising strategies of informal economy workers in the transport industry, for the International Transportworkers’ Federation (ITF) – and the construction industry, for Women in Informal Employment: Globalizing and Organizing (WIEGO).
The Politics of the International Labour Movement:
education programmes and events to stimulate discussion and policy exchange between trade unionists, researchers and workers’ education practitioners on the political agenda of the international trade union movement.
